A few researchers at the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy, University of Cambridge have developed a unique method for recycling lead acid batteries which has the potential to transform the whole battery recycling industry.
Vasant Kumar, an Indian origin scholar led the research team which developed this so called groundbreaking technology in battery recycling.
According to a statement released by the university, the method developed by the team uses less energy, produces fewer toxic emissions and is more cost-effective than current methods.
Vasant Kumar will be in Hyderabad, India this week to present the technology at the International Secondary Lead Conference. |
